the mountains
are like lovers
under the sheets

through her mask
"I don't want to die !"

fear in her eyes
she speeds away
down the wine aisle

pillaging the cleaning supplies

in aisle three

Little old lady swings her cane

like Tiger Woods

on the 14^th tee

Woman

in a parked car

crying uncontrollably

staring at her

cell phone screen.

Having no answers

I avert my eyes

and walk by

leaving her

to her pain.

  Covid 19

strangely prepared
for the isolation of the plague
I've tried so hard  to  be seen
and I always disappear
