the road to ennis

Today little Goat and I drove down through the canyon along the Madison river to Ennis, hoping for a little  break from the hustle and  rush of Bozeangeles proper and maybe a little fishing

unfortunately it was too windy and too hot to  cast a fly .Lake Ennis was beautiful though and  drops its water into the Madison, which on a hot day like today serves as  a inner tubers paradise. A lot of people leave their cars at a drop off point just below the dam on the lake. spend a couple hours floating down the river and then hitch a ride back up to the place they left  their car.

 Having been in that situation before, I always make an attempt to give a fellow traveler a ride if I am going their way.
